We hope everyone had a fun and safe summer! Welcome back to the 2021-2022 school year. OHE's theme this year is GAME ON! The PTO, together with the amazing OHE team, look forward to bringing our A-Game all year. GO HAWKS!

We hope you were able to pop-in, grab a popsicle and meet your teacher on Monday evening. Knowing teachers and staff would be staying late and gearing up for the first days back, the PTO provided lunch for teachers and staff on Monday.  A big thank you to all the volunteers and staff for making Monday a delicious success! 

The PTO is pleased to once again provide all students and staff with a Hawk Pride t-shirt. Please make your way to the PTO site, register (it's free) and provide your child's shirt size. Peruse the site while you're there for great information on all the happenings at OHE! 

If you've longed to be recognized as the fun parent - here is your chance! Sign up to be a room parent and help organize games and crafts for class parties, connect teachers with volunteers to make unique class activities a reality, and send reminders for teacher recognition. Not only does volunteering help build children's capacity for kindness, compassion and selflessness, but it can also teach them a variety of life skills. Don't forget to log your service hours for both student and school recognition.

HOT TIP: The OHE garden could use some TLC if you're looking for a here and now community service activity.
