Hawk Walk & Fall Festival

October 19-20, 2018

We implemented a big change last year by splitting the Hawk Walk and Carnival into two separate days of fun, together called the Fall Festival. The Hawk Walk will be at OHE during the school day on Friday October 19th. The carnival will follow on Saturday, October 20th at Oxford Middle School with fun for the whole family! Here are some important things to know:

The Fall Festival is Oak Hill's largest fundraiser of the year.  It is comprised of two components; the Hawk Walk and school carnival. The Hawk Walk will be held on the afternoon of October 19th during the school day and the Carnival will be October 20th from 4:30-7:30p at Oxford Middle school. In order to raise funds to support our school, the students collect pledges from friends and family for completing the Hawk Walk. The Carnival is a community event where the children with their families celebrate the success of completing the fundraising and Hawk Walk event.

Free T-shirt!  New this year each student will receive a free brightly colored, grade specific t-shirt! This t-shirt will be worn on Friday, October 19th for the Hawk Walk, as well as during OHE sponsored classroom field trips and Field Day in the Spring.

Baskets…This year the Carnival will continue to have a raffle for themed baskets to help raise money and give the kids an extra incentive during the school day to demonstrate OHE Expected Behaviors. There will be four themed baskets in which the carnival committee will ask for donations to fill each basket by grade level.  Donations will be collected at school the week of September 17th-24th!
