Annual events hosted by the PTO
Popsicle Pop-in!
Welcome back to school and come meet the teacher a few days before school starts. This is the day you will bring supplies (if you don't purchase through the school), see your classroom and meet your teacher for the year. Then come find the PTO table for a Popsicle and find friends.
Trivia Night and Silent Auction
Whether you’re a trivia pro or have never made it through a round of Trivial Pursuit, you won’t want to miss this entertaining adults-only event. Team up with friends or let us team you up with fellow parents, and join us for an always fun, themed night of friendly competition. Don’t forget to bring those competitive spirits to the silent auction! This is a ticketed event.
Hawk Block Party
One of the most anticipated family events of the school year, the Hawk Block Party is not to be missed! Every September, the OHE community gathers outside on school grounds for an awesome evening of face painting, games, food trucks, and music. This FREE* event offers a great way to connect with other OHE families and students.
*Admission to the Hawk Block Party is free; food and drinks are available for purchase.
OHE Movie on the Lawn
Another wildly popular FREE family event, Movie-on-the-Lawn presents an unforgettable outdoor movie experience for all ages. This October, bring your chairs and blankets—enjoy popcorn on the PTO!—and join us under the stars for some family entertainment on the big screen.
Book Fair
Each Fall, the Book Fair provides students and their families with the opportunity to explore an expansive selection of books and encourage a love of reading and learning. Funds raised through purchases benefit the school library and teachers’ classrooms. It’s a win-win for everyone!
Sneakers and Sequins
Break out your dancing kicks and show off your best moves at this super fun school dance! Students and their adult(s) are invited to share a memorable evening of music, dancing, and special activities. This is a ticketed event. Funds raised support school activities and projects.
Kindergarten Graduation
As the school year comes to a close, celebrate your child’s first year of elementary school with a heartwarming kindergarten graduation ceremony. Gather for special class performances and cheer on students as they are recognized for achieving this milestone.
5th Grade Celebration
Parents are invited to attend a special presentation honoring their fifth grade students as they say farewell to OHE and transition to middle school.
